Sri Amit Ray, born in 1960, is an Indian author and spiritual master whose teachings and writings on meditation, 114 chakras, yoga and compassion deeply influenced people across the world. Compassion is his core teachings. He is considered as one of the pioneers of the Compassionate Artificial Intelligence Movement.
Education and early life
He was a meritorious student from his childhood. He did his BE from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, University of Calcutta. He did his M.Tech and PhD in 1993 from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. His PhD thesis was on “Enhancement of the Capabilities of Artificial Intelligence Based Diagnostic Systems”.
He showed a spiritual tendency and heightened awareness right from the age of 8 years. He always has a deep connection with the Higher Self. From his childhood, he learnt meditation from the wandering monks and ascetics who happened to pass by their village farmhouse.
His first deep realization occurs in 1996, at Thornton Heath, London. While he was working in a corporate job in London, many uncommon mystical experiences happened to him.
In 2002, Ray left his high-profile corporate job in the USA and moved to the Himalaya and fully dedicated himself to the higher truths. He was guided by the divine lights.
With a scientific bent of mind, he undertook meditation practices of Hindu and Buddhist traditions, without being entangled in the dogmatic views and rituals. He pursued a dedicated search for the truth in their cottage on the high mountain in a Himalayan village, undergoing intense spiritual practices of deep meditation and silence.
From 2004 to 2010 he went for long silence meditation in Uttarkashi, Himalaya. His deeper realization of cosmic God consciousness happens at Uttarkashi and Gomukh in Himalaya.
In 2005, he discovered the names, locations and the functions of the 114 chakras as it revealed to him in his deep meditation.
He experienced a series of powerful and profound awakening, which revealed to him the true nature of human reality and existence. Realizing the liberating truth, he started sharing his wisdom and spreading spiritual knowledge and serving mankind.
He is famous across the world for peace, love, compassion, and positive vibrations. He is an author and a great philanthropist. His words give inspiration to many. His work has huge impact to improve the dignity and the worth of humanity. On yoga, Ray said that yoga is the artwork of awareness on the canvas of the body, mind, and soul.

The 114 chakras teachings
Ray re-discovered the mysteries of the 114 chakras and 72000 nadis at his young age. During his years of silence meditations in the high Himalaya every detail of these chakras and nadis were revealed to him. His ability to view the chakras and the nadis of many people was developed during that time.
Ray is one of the pioneers of compassionate artificial intelligence movement. In 2018, Ray introduced the concept of Deep Compassion algorithms and frameworks to solve humanitarian needs such as compassionate care-giving, helping physically and mentally challenged people.
Ray argues the importance of compassion, kindness and emotional intelligence in the age of automation, AI and social robots. He said “As more and more artificial intelligence is entering into the world, more and more emotional intelligence must enter into leadership.”
Brain computer interface research
Ray has used the term “compassionate social robot”, which he defined as an autonomous physical agent that interacts with humans in social context like a human, on all fronts of emotions, intelligence, compassion and creativity. Ray’s contribution for brain computer interface research with Artificial Intelligence, for mind reading and helping disabled people is path-breaking. Ray classified brain computer interface in three groups.
International peace contribution
Ray is the founding president of IISCIM, which is dedicated to remove the sufferings of humanity through yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, pollution-free environment, scientific. Ray believes greater collaboration among international organizations is essential. His words are inspirations for many for international peace and conflict resolutions.
Ray said, collaboration is the essence of life as the wind, bees and flowers work together, to spread the pollen. He is against the inequalities, discrimination, exploitation faced by the girl child across the world. He said, smiling face of every little girl is the signature of God’s presence. He believes in the powers of random acts of kindness in daily life.
Ray advocates planting more trees, to give our children and the future generation a cleaner and safe environment. He stated that we may not plant millions of trees, but we can take care of one single tree with love and care that will make us great. research, and social welfare.
Ray has contributed to the development of the Artificial Intelligence for over three decades in the areas of neural networks. His guiding thoughts on compassionate AI are often referred by many top international authorities such as the editorial board of the Computer Society of India, Artificial Intelligence Index Report 2021, Stanford and others. Ray also discovered the concepts of Quantum Attention Functions for modeling quantum machine learning.

In 2015, Ray published the book “The Science of the 114 Chakras in Human Body.”
In 2018, he developed the deep compassion algorithms and published the book “Compassionate Artificial Intelligence”.
In 2020, Ray published the book on “Quantum Attention Function Theory.”
